  • Fireworks’ Weight, From 5,000 to 6,000 pounds
  • Height, Fireworks will rise up to 800 feet
  • Breadth, The display spreads across roughly 1,000 feet

The event promises a significant economic boost for DuPage County. The mayor said visitor numbers are more than double the number of village residents.

“Hotels are booked solid during these days,” said Pruyn. “We also see around 20,000 to 30,000 visitors from all over.”

Crews from Pyrotecnico have been working nonstop loading everything and preparing Hamilton Lakes for the cost-free show.

Firework Preparations

“Workers are loading fireworks into launching tubes then connecting an electric initiator to each fire device and plugging it into control system that manages whole show safely remotely,” stated Matt Peterson, director of designs.

Show organizers pledge there will be new colors, patterns and effects to the display. “This year’s show sees some great strobes, sunflowers, dahlias and ghost shells,” stated Peterson. “The ghost shells change color across the sphere.”

Fireworks’ rhythm is set match a variety of music coming from popular culture, films and patriotic songs. The village is joining forces with Hamilton Partners.

Effects on Community

“We always try to stimulate emotional involvement of people with the display to keep them engrossed with music and feel patriotism, “mentioned Richard Staback, a Hamilton Partner member.

Apart from fireworks, the event also features live music, various food stalls and a new play area for children. Admission is free while parking is $25 per vehicle.

Peterson stressed, “I want spectators to take a memorable experience back home. Whether they come along with family, friends or for a date.”

The event is planned to start at 4,30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9,45 p.m., which will last for about 25 minutes.
